A few minutes driving from Argegno and its shores we find Villa Gina Errano, a historic villa built in 1780 by an Austrian noble family.

One of the inhabitants of the house was none other than the well-known painter Baldassarre Longoni (1876-1956), a master of Divisionism and a brilliant artist active between the 19th and 20th centuries; moving between Divisionism, Realism and Naturalism, Longoni, a native of Valle Intelvi, was one of the most interesting painters of the Lombard landscape of his ages.

Since 2011, the villa has been completely and finely restored.

The richness of details and decorative choices, which reveal the passion for art and the different cultures of the world, is surprising: silk tapestries, very high-level coatings, and perfectly preserved original period details (flooring, frescoes, fixtures) that can be seen throughout the villa.

Every room oozes a different cultural vibe: from Japan to China, Russia, Italy. In this sense, the villa is somehow a unique multicultural experience.
